I should have known when I received a phone call that the movers where going to be over an hour late from my scheduled apt that my experience was going to be HORRIBLE. When the gentleman arrived I was optimistic until I spelled alcohol on one of the movers who claimed he had the flu and a backup was on his way. The moving started quickly; however, after watching one of the movers act carelessly we asked him if he could be a little more careful with our furniture as he had damaged trim work in two locations. His response was unprofessional. He would not stop making excuses, rude comments, and them apologizing for his behavior. He was acting like he was drunk! After an hour of the verbal abuse we called the company to ask about the backup and the real trouble began. We were told that there was no back up, he was not sick and we were being too picky that things will get damaged in a move. The drama continued with lies, yelling, and eventually a non Royal Movers employee came to relieve the employee who was acting out of control. In retrospect I wish I would have called the police to have him removed from our property. We had all of our belongings unpacked in our garage/drive way and as we were unpacking we had three damaged pieces of furniture. The company was very disrespectful with yelling and accusing of us wanting a free move. The unprofessionalism and lack of accountability with this company is shameful. I wish I would have read the poor reviews prior to my experience. I would have rather rented my own truck and done the move on my own then spend the money on this company.

Moving can be a rediculous task and very stressful! I completely disagree with some of the bad reviews listed here. If I were to have read the reviews here prior to booking a move with this local company I would have probably chose a different company. Luckily I called the company and used my own judgement and every thing worked out amazing! The manager Chaz had a professional manner and was very courteous with all of my rookie questions. My husband and I were going through a lot of problems and had to move quick, thank you kindly Royal Movers! Service was prompt and the movers even chose to move a piece of furniture that was not originally discussed for no charge. My cousin was supposed to come by and pick up a washer and was unable to retrieve it.

A will do business with them again and recommend all to call and use their own judgement! I have a feeling that there is high turnover rate in the moving business and that the movers know how much a review could help or hurt a business decide to bash the company?? Only my opinion.

My other quotes from the competitors sounded better but if you do the math the service charge covered fuel charges and the drive to and from- Compared to no service fee and the clock starts when they leave the business?? Those are the tricky sales slogans my husband told me to be aware of!!

WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED- The employees/owners of this company are rude,  30 year males with no business sense. They throw tantrums and say things that are inappropriate even outside of a professional environment. They have treatened my safety, told me to take it to court, and have told me that they take no responsibility for their own actions/ mistakes on the job. If they damage something while on the move, they do not take responsibility. DO NOT USE THEM- if you encounter any issues, they turn against you and yell, argue and fight verbally with you.   .

I had to cancel my move out date due to personal issues. I had enough consideration to communicate with these people to let them know I didn't need them at the time, this guy Chaz answers the phone and starts telliNG me how their so busy and that I keep calling and they won't be able to fit me in because there to busy because I can't give them a date! Smh! He starts arguing with me what the heck!! I'm trying to give him business and he wants to argue with the customer. We'll I told him I read previous reviews and others stacting this same person CHAZ argues I don't recommend them they don't want your business they want to argue cause things are not in your control that's life  .

They were approximately 15 minutes late, but if they had a run after me they were hours late.  My move was scheduled for 1-3.  My daughter was having them pack things in the truck I hadn't scheduled.  This move was suppose to be for large furniture items. She was moving clothes, iron board, dishes, etc.. They informed her these small items take a lot of time. It took them from 1:15 (arrival time) to 6:00 p.m. to stop the clock.  We went to a storage unit in Allen Park, coming from Romulus, then to a home in Detroit.  I was very satifsfied.  I tipped which I usually don't do for furniture deliveries.  I had never used a company to move my daughter out her apartment.  Would do it again.  Just make sure only furniture is being moved and get the storage unit or apartment a couple of days before the move. It was suggested when I called about saving money and time by moving all my own small stuff.   Kim    .

This company is a joke. On the day of the move two boys Jason ( J bones) and another Jason came to move us. They were over an  hour late and once they got there one of the guys kept on running to the bathroom and they were taking breaks ALOT.  Once we got to our new home..once again back an forth to the bathroom and within an hour one of the guys went into the truck to make a phone call. I guess he wasn't feeling good and was trying to get a replacement to come out.  SO we started unloading the truck OURSELVES!! For an hour we did it..Then the two boys starting arguing and were about to get into a physical fight because the one guy wanted to finish the job . So finally at 430 the replacement came and they finished the job within an hour. I talked to the owner Chaz and he is one of the most disrespectful and rudest people I have met. Charged us $75 an hour and $75 for mileage was not worth it The Staff and owner very unprofessional and thugs..DO NOT USE ROYAL MOVERS!

Set up a time for the company to move my family.  I asked the owner if they packed too?  He told me that they did.  So I arranged for the company to move us.  When the 2 men got there - they told me I had too much stuff and would not move me!!  I was paying by the hour - not like they were not going to get paid.  The 2 men called the boss and he told them to leave!!  I talked to the boss and he got real angry with me about not telling them they had to pack my stuff too.  I told him I asked if you packed also and he said you asked that doesn't mean you needed us to pack too!!  If I didn't need them to pack me why would I ask if they pack too!! The boss was very unprofessional yelling at me.  He told his men to charge me $75 for coming out and leave.  I asked them to PLEASE at least take my large items and they not even do that!!  He sent 2 men to do a household of furniture!!  I was so upset by the time they left I was to be out of the house by that weekend and they left me hanging!!  I found another company that sent out 5 men to do the job and they also packed for me!!  The new company told me that they hear it happen alot - a company will not move a family cause they have too much stuff!! I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I recently moved from Riverview, MI to Livonia, MI and used Royal Movers for my move. They were great! They arrived at my previous residence not only on time but early and called to let me know exact ETA, which was wonderful. I asked to schedule and extra stop in between and they were more than accommidating and moved everything quickly and efficiently! The two men were also very personable and professional.

Though not ready because my dog was dying, they moved everything quickly and efficiently as they could in the mess they walked into. very satisfied, and made a long 3 days which ended with having to put my dog to sleep that very night, much easier, not having to manage the move myself! Quick efficient honest thoughtful and I would definitely use them again. They moved the heavy things while I continued packing boxes could have never been more unprepared because of my dog, they were patient with my packing, and up front about the fact that because I was not ready it would take them longer costing more. this was understood and they were amazing. Would refer and use again, no BS what they say you will get you get.

I used Royal Movers LLC for my recent move and I don't know how I would have done it without them. A friend of mine referred me and I was skeptical about paying out more than I needed to with the move. Everyone knows moving is a hassle but Royal Movers came in to get the job done. I was pleased with the way the handled my things and the pace they worked at. The guys were friendly and outgoing. I have no intensions on moving any time in the near future but when and if I do, I will definitely use them again and recommend their services.

We picked Royal Movers name from the Yellow Pages and a manager came out for an estimate and was very professional.We interviewed 2 other movers and picked Royal Movers and felt their prices were competitive. They were available for our choice of moving dates.A team of 3 clean and uniformed men arrived (4 were expected) so they worked well as a team to prep our furniture for the move without a break.After the 150 mile trip to Indiana they arrived in a timely manner and moved all items in as directed and assembled all items.One man instructed others in installing our Sleep Number bed.The total move took longer than expected most likely because there was a man short for the prep time but they worked well into the evening until the job was all done.Our only complaint is that not all the items promised to be moved were able to fit in the truck so we had to make several trips back to Michigan with a van and trailer to complete the task.Also an unfortunate accident happened shortly before they left at 10:30 PM. We had closed the screen of the sliding door wall where most of the moving had taken place as bugs were coming in. One man didn't notice that it had been closed and ran into it. The screen has a tear and the frame was bent and is in for repair. He apologized and felt sad that it happened.All in all though' we felt that we and our belongings were handled with respect and personal attention and would recommend Royal Movers LLC.

I just didn't have enough time this past Sunday morning when Royal movers from wyandotte came to let you know how pleased I was with their super great service. I mean excellent service! It was great, I was so happy with them that I enjoyed helping out myself in any way. The two guys who helped me were Rob and Jason, two good, hard workers with the right attitude for sure. Again, I just can't say how good I feel with Royal movers and how they took care of me. I would most definitely recommend this fine company to others. In closing, l was left a happy camper with these guys!

They took 15-20 minute breaks every 45 minutes to an hour. They purposely dragged the whole process out to make more money. I told them I was only moving large furniture before they came. They still brought a truck that was too small. It didn't even fit our couch. Therefore they had to take multiple trips, which in turn cost more money and time for us. They were cheaper per hour, however with all of the breaks they ended up costing more. They also exaggerated the time they started and finished, which also cost us more money. I asked for the owner to call or e-mail me because I was unhappy with the whole process. I didn't hear from them for a week. Therefore I posted a poor review on a website. Once the owner saw the review, he contacted me. He said if I took the poor review down then he would send me a check. I agreed and took the poor review down. I waited two weeks and never saw a check. He only said that so I would take the poor review down. My washer machine also hasn't worked since the move. I gave this company plenty of time and chances to make up for the poor experience. They chose to scam me and threaten to sue for slander for posting a negative review. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!

Good prices is what lead me to Royal Movers. Justin and Steve called to let me know they were coming and were 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. They only took 2 (well deserved) 5 minute breaks in 4 hours. I did notice a couple scratches, but not till after they left. Also, they only brought 2 wardrobes, and that wasn't enough to fit my clothes. I had to go back and get them myself. I would think they would carry more on the truck not knowing how much anyone has. All in all, I would probably use them again.

We recently used Royal Movers to move our daughter and her friend from two separate locations into one. they showed up on time ready to work. It was a snowy morning but they were thorough and cleaned the walks and put down floor coverings so as not to damage our floors. The move took longer to do but that did not stop them. They were personable and I especially liked how they team of three worked together to get the job done. They took only a couple of small breaks and kept at the job till it was done. Would highly recommend them to anyone planning a move. I would not hesitate to use them again!

We just used Royal Movers for our recent move. Chaz, Steve, and Rob showed up ready to rock it out and were well prepared for a long day! They were all kind, personable and hard workers. The job I am sure was not an easy one as we had a TON of stuff but they still managed to work quickly and efficiently to get it all moved in to our new home in a fair amount of time! The cost was much more reasonable then what other big name moving companies would of charged but the service with Royal was far better then the big name companies! I would recommend Royal Movers to anyone looking to hire a moving company!

I would not recomend this company based on its management.  The movers called to tell me that they would be several hours late, claiming that something happened to their other trucks--which I'm not sure I really believed.  To make up for it, the manager authorized a very small discount.  When I called a few days later to talk to him about it, he was extremely rude and off-putting.  When I reminded him that I could write a poor review for his company, he threatened me by reminding me that he knows where I live.  If that's not unprofessional (and borderline criminal), I don't know what is.  However, the two guys who moved my things were very nice and professional and did a great job.  It's just the management that is horrendous.  Beware of this company.

This moving company was going to move Mom and Dad today. They arrived at the apartment and the bullying began. The price suddenly changed and they told them that unless they did what they wanted my Folks things would be "destroyed and damaged". When they tried to question them about the price change one of the movers became verbally abusive, using the F word in front of both of them. They are 75 years old. He then became physically aggressive with my Dad. He didn't touch him but the threat was there. The other mover was a good guy who tried his best to stop this punk from acting like he was. They got me on the phone and he spoke the same way with me. I told him to get out of their apartment. He then began calling and harassing me on the phone. Mom and Dad were so upset! I filed a complaint with the BBB.

Moving is so traumatic, but the guys (Steve and Mike John) did a great job of making things go more smoothly.  They packed our heavy things (beds, chests, grandfather clock and triple dresser and 2 sofa beds) with care and professional knowledge.  They padded and taped the furniture so that all were protected from damage.  They packed the truck with care and organization.  It took far less time than I anticipated and even though they got a late start, the whole thing was completed by 5 pm.  The total amount of the bill was much less than anticipated and we gave them more than the bill, ($675.00-bill; paid $700.00), we gave the guys $20.00 extra to eat, as they did not stop all day. Thank you Royal movers for making our move a little less stressful.

No one likes moving day, especially around Christmas. Our experience with Royal Movers was delightful! The men were professional, careful, quick, and pleasant to be around. They took instructions with special items as though they were their own. They were easy to talk to, and by time they left, we felt like they were friends. I highly recommend this company! We used them before, to move my elderly parents, so we had no reserve in using them. Hoping this is our last move, but should we move again..we will call Royal Movers again.
